i was hit with the rude awakening of having to deal with the flu.  sore throat, runny nose, rough cough, and body sores. i have never felt this vulnerable and weak in my life.  i am still not fully recovered, but i am feeling a lot better than i did last week.  since i haven't been able to take any outfit pics, the above are just a couple of outfits from maybe months ago that never made it on here until now.. the below are from my instagram!

i am so in love with this tweed peplum blazer from j.crew! i purchased it a month ago and it has been a staple in my daily attire. the 

cut and the tweed texture adds that extra oomph.  i love that i can just throw it on and layer it underneath my coats, especially since it is ridiculously cold outside right now.

it is the second week of the new year and i am on track on trying to stay updated with my style photodiary.  my original goal was to at least post one outfit per week but i think i can bump that up to at least two. a couple of my other goals is to also keep up with my pinterest, tumblr, and instagram.  it seems so simple to repin on pinterest, to reblog on tumblr and to take a pic on instagram, but those things come hard for me for some reason. social networking has never really been my thing i guess, though i can totally understand the benefit and effectiveness of being fully active on any social networking site.  i find all of them impressive and in some ways valuable - finding inspiration, capturing moments, marketing yourself.  i just need to remind myself that i can make it that simple.

anyway, i am loving my new wilfred cocoon coat from aritzia. it is keeping me super warm in this cold, northwest weather. also, i am finally on instagram!

wow, december was a busy, busy month for me!  asides from the regular balance of school, work, the holiday festivities, and also celebrating two of my closest friend's birthdays.. i am now officially graduated and done with school!  my blood, sweat, and tears have gone into these last few months and i am so glad with how everything has turned out..  now i can finally catch a break and relax a bit! the new year is here and there are a couple of goals that i hope i can fulfill!
2012 has been great, 2013 will be greater!
