i have had these jeans for years and forgot about them. i wasn't too sure on the cuffing of the jeans since they are super long but i think i made them work anyways because i love the fit everywhere else. i need to get them tailored but i think i can make due for now... -xoxo.

this month, the 26th to be exact, marks a year since i started this blog. i have always admired and followed other fashion bloggers and always wanted to start one of my own but i found it difficult for me to make time to take pics.. let alone find a photographer on hand whenever i needed one. it took a required class assignment to have an excuse to really start this.. and to figure out that i really can do this on my own... setting up a photo spot in the dining room of my house. i am always on the go and 90% usually on my own between commuting, work, and school so i knew that i was not going to be able to provide pictures with great scenery or the best lighting, which was one of the main reasons why i was reluctant to starting one.. but i am glad i did.

i know that i don't post as much or enough, but this blog has became more than i imagined it to be.

one of my best friends is getting married this weekend. it has been a long time coming. months of planning and shaping to what is going to be a beautiful day. i think i have lost some weight from being so busy and stressed. my last quarter is coming up too and everything is going to hit me so fast..

twenty-four seven i think about what is to come after i graduate.. i can only hope for the best and keep doing what i do. -love.

i took the first picture right before i headed out to my hair appointment. i think that this is the longest i have ever had it in my life. i would have kept it at this length if it was easy to manage but it was hard to tame and just starting to get heavy so it had to go. the second set of pictures i took a couples of day later with my newly cut hair. it's lighter, definitely faster to dry but i am still a bit bored with it. if you guys have any suggestions on something that i could do with my hair, that would be great. i am open to anything!

oh, and i am loving my bp oxford shoes! i pair them with everything!

it's so nice to be back on here! took some quick shots of my outfit today before i ran out and ran some errands. i know it's june and the sleeveless tops and short shorts should be out, but it still has been a bit too cold here in washington with the weather averaging to about sixty-four degrees on the regular. tomorrow it is supposed to reach up to seventy-four so i am looking forward to that! i have been craving outfits that do not require pants.

i am also soo looking forward to getting my haircut tomorrow! it's been four months since i last had one. blow-drying my hair has been such a pain.

anyway, it's reaaally, really nice to be back and now it's time for me to catch up!

ABSENCE.

time is flying by, i can't express that enough! i apologize again, for not being able to post regularly. these last few months have been the most taxing on my body and mind. i am finding it really hard to balance school, work, family, and a fair social life.

i wish i could make more time for my blog and follow-up on my favorite bloggers and followers but i deeply regret to say that blogging has been the least on my priority list. my last year at the art institute is rounding up and the work-load has been really heavy. apart from my 3 other classes, i am working on my senior collection and it consists of 4 outfits. since i always choose to do separates because ready-to-wear is what i love, my four outfits include four bottoms (two skirts, two shorts), four tops, and four light jackets.

finally purchased a perfect fit chambray button-up! i have came across so many during my months of searching but i have not found one that was just right until now. when it comes to pieces like this, classic and simple, i am a bit meticulous. besides being painstaking particular on the perfect light denim wash, i look at the buttons ( i hate pearl-snaps on almost everything) and most of all, i look at fit. this was the perfect length and fit just right on my shoulder-lines, it also has that nice light fade. i will definitely be using this for many occasions as a layering piece or just by itself. another staple piece in my wardrobe =)

it's still pouring here in washington and so to keep it weather-appropriate, i wore this casual comfortable to keep me cool and dry while i run around. i can't believe the first week of may is almost over. midterms have almost passed and that means i am halfway closer to having two more quarters left to graduating!

i have been meaning to post one of my favorite jackets of the year, this tna fishtail parka from aritzia. i got it for my birthday in february and it has been my number one jacket for everyday wear. it's light, roomy enough to layer and perfect for rainy washington. ever since it came into my hands, i certainly have abused it and have been wearing it to its fullest potential. i'm surprised that it took me this long to finally post an outfit with it because it's been my favorite!
